The best Eli/Carver cross of all times CH Chinaman ROM was killer in his days and one of the best dogs of all times and the sire of the top ROM dog Garner's Frisco ROM. Garner's Chinaman was the foundation and prototype Tom Garner's Pit Bull breeding program. Not only was he conformationally perfect (he is the breed standard for the Sporting Dog Registry), he was tested at Stanford University and found to have oxygen assimilation capabilities (as assessed via VO2 max) equivalent to top Greyhounds.
Testing also revealed that Chinaman possessed an unusually high percentage of fast-twitch muscle and advantageous skeletal and muscle-attachment geometry.
